• As educators, we were thoroughly impressed with our overnight experience at Camp Manitou. The camp itself was accessible to all of our students and moreover, they provided meaningful, outdoor camp opportunities and great skill based programming that celebrates community and respect for the outdoors. It was thrilling to watch students develop and strengthen friendships, teamwork and self-confidence through well-organized activities provided by dynamic, knowledgeable and highly engaging staff. All of our students experienced success, whether it was building a fire from scratch, navigating using a map and compass, casting a fishing rod, or shooting hoops with one of the camp councillors. The highly organized and involved camp staff made it possible for us as teachers to participate alongside our students and that certainly helped foster lasting memories. We were cared for, right down to delicious and nutritious food and we look forward to returning to Camp Manitou!
