Eleven Acres

Camp Manitou was able to purchase eleven acres adjacent to the existing camp, where the work has begun on a 2.6 acre lake and bike track. The lake was completed and filled Spring 2021, with the bike track and a boathouse to be completed in the fall.  The new amenities will begin to be used in 2022 starting with the Duck Pond Hockey Tournament in January.

Welcome Centre

Welcome Centre

A new Welcome Centre located at the Camp Manitou entrance was completed in spring 2019 to provide an improved guest experience for campers and groups by offering a more convenient drop-off and check-in process while also reducing vehicular traffic within camp.

Rink

Ice Rink

Winter programming is greatly enhanced with the addition of a rink that will be operational for 6 months every year. With a roof to keep away snow, and an ice plant to ensure quality ice from fall to spring, the rink is one of the top amenities at Camp Manitou.

Washroom/Shower Building

In close proximity to the cabins, this facility includes male and female washrooms and showers, as well as 2 dressing rooms for the hockey rink.

Zamboni Garage

Zamboni

A home for the Zamboni is added, greatly enhancing our ability to make quality ice for rental groups and the Winnipeg Jets Hockey Academy student athletes.

Cabins

Cabins

The ability to host large groups is a reality with the addition of 12 cabins. Overnight camp for children in the summer months is now offered. The cabins are available for use 12 months of the year and can sleep up to 12 campers.

Low Ropes

Low Ropes

Campers are given the opportunity to test their balance and agility on the low ropes course. The adventure playground features Tarzan ropes, floating bridges, a tight rope walk and much more.

Climbing Wall

With the goal of adding another adventure activity that can be enjoyed by campers of all ages, a 25’ climbing wall is built. Up to 6 campers can climb at one time on walls with varying degrees of difficulty.

Play Structure

PLay Structure

A play structure is built near the swimming pool for campers to enjoy during their free time. The structure is accessible for children with mobility challenges.

Zip Line

To give campers the sensation of flying through the air, a zip line is added to the programming mix. It instantly becomes one of the campers’ favorite activities.
