Amenities

  • Travis Price Centre

As part of Camp Manitou’s expansion plan, the 10,000-square-foot lodge includes a dining capacity of 192 and 36 new dorm beds with an attached lounge, providing space for overnight campers and rainy-day activities. For cooler days there is a two sided gas fireplace. The Travis Price Centre is also where you’ll find our camp’s main office.

The commercial kitchen has amenities to accommodate rental groups for a variety of private functions.

For organizations looking for a space to do team building or strategic planning, the dining hall doubles as a meeting space with state of the art audio and visual. A smaller board room with a large screen holds up to twelve people.

  • Welcome Centre

Camp Manitou’s Welcome Centre, located at the Camp Manitou entrance, houses our summer staff offices. Throughout the year it is used as a meeting space with a capacity of 30. • Lake, boathouse and bike trails

Camp Manitou’s 2.6-acre custom-made lake gives campers and rental groups access to canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding in the summer months, along with pond hockey in the winter months. The fully accessible dock on the lake includes Manitoba’s first Americans with Disabilities Act compliant boat launch, meaning that everyone at camp can enjoy the water sports.

A boathouse sits on the shores of the lake, providing storage for boats and bikes, and even features a rooftop deck.

Surrounding the lake are a bike skills course and bike trails that double as cross country ski trails in the winter.

  • Canada Life outdoor rink

The Canada Life outdoor rink is an official NHL-sized rink located in front of the Travis Price Centre and attached to the skate shack. Funded in part by the Industry Growth Fund, an initiative of the NHL and NHL Players’ Association, the rink greatly enhances winter programming with the ability to be operational for six months of the year. With a roof to keep away snow, and an ice plant to ensure quality ice from fall to spring, the rink is one of the top amenities at Camp Manitou. In the summer months the rink provides shaded and sheltered space that can be used as an activity area. The rink serves numerous True North  programs, as well as Camp Manitou programs.
