Camp Manitou’s Welcome Centre, located at the Camp Manitou entrance houses our summer staff offices. In the year round it is used as a meeting space, with a capacity of 30. The building and washrooms are wheelchair accessible and there is a small kitchen with fridge and microwave for the use of our guests.
Travis Price Centre
As part of Camp Manitou’s expansion plan, the brand new 10,000-square-foot lodge is now open with a dining capacity of 192 and 36 new dorm beds with an attached lounge, providing space for overnight campers and rainy-day activities. For cooler days there is a two sided gas fireplace.
The commercial kitchen has amenities to accommodate rental groups for a variety of private functions.
For organizations looking for a space to do Team Building or Strategic Planning, the dining hall doubles as a meeting space with state of the art Audio and Visual. A smaller board room with a large screen holds up to twelve people.
Our main office is in the TPC and as well, our pick up and drop off for day camps take place between the TPC and Rink in the form of a drive through.
Camp Manitou Gym
The gym is a multi-purpose facility with 3,000 square feet of open floor space which can be divided into three areas by curtains. The gym is an ideal space for indoor games/activities, rainy day programming, classes/meetings and a variety of functions (such as receptions, family reunions, and birthday parties).
Surrounding the gym on three sides are large windows which allow for natural light and summer breezes to enter as well as a covered veranda. In front of the building is a sports pad with basketball hoops.
Heated Outdoor Pool
Come cool off from the summer heat in our heated pool! Camp Manitou has an outdoor pool that is open during the summer months, subject to weather conditions. The pool is available according to Manitoba health regulations and Camp Manitou policies. A lifeguard must be present at all times.
Forest & Field
Come take in the natural beauty of Camp Manitou and its 39-acre oasis. Just five minutes outside of Winnipeg, you would never know you were that close to the city when you are walking our trails and taking in the natural beauty. The grass field that hosts field games and activities is conveniently located just behind the lodge.
Our play structure is fully accessible and conveniently located right beside the pool and green space for free time play.
We offer 12 stand alone cabins as a place to stay!
Cabin #1 and #3-12 are equipped with five bunk-beds and two single beds (sleeps twelve), along with a table and bench style seating. Cabin #2 has four bunk-beds and two single beds (sleeps ten). Each cabin includes a separate changing room area and storage bins for your bags.
Camp Manitou’s official NHL-sized rink is located in front of the lodge and attached to the Skate Shack. Funded in part by the Industry Growth Fund, an initiative of the NHL and NHL Players’ Association, the rink greatly enhances winter programming with the ability to be operational for six months of the year. With a roof to keep away snow, and an ice plant to ensure quality ice from fall to spring, the rink is one of the top amenities at Camp Manitou. In the summer months the rink provides shaded and sheltered space that can be used as an activity area. The rink serves numerous True North non-profit children’s programs, as well as Camp Manitou programs.
The Skate Shack houses two dressing rooms that have direct access to the rink, making it the perfect place to warm up when taking a skating break. With the cabins in vicinity, the Skate Shack also provides shower and washroom facilities for overnight cabin guests.
